It is important that our Website is accessible by as wide an audience as is possible.
The Disability Act 1995 / 2005 requires that services be made available to people with different access requirements.
- We concentrate on providing information in text format that can easily be rendered with speech software
- We have used text equivents for all content images
- We have kept menus and navigation simple
- Our content has text that can be resized to suit both the sight impaired user and those with high resolution monitors
- We have taken care to choose colour schemes that have good contrast and that do not cause problems for colour blind users
- We use Skip menus to aid keyboard based navigation
