Anglo-Austrian Society joins international celebration of Gustav Mahler’s 150th birthday
In commemoration of this anniversary a gala concert arranged by the Gustav Mahler Society UK under the patronage of the Austrian Ambassador, H.E. Dr Emil Brix took place in London on July 7th.
The knowledgeable and enthusiastic audience greatly appreciated the music of Hugo Wolf, Mahler and Zemlinsky played by a quartet from the world famous Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester who were joined by Garry Matthewman (piano) and Madeleine Shaw (mezzo-soprano).
The Anglo-Austrian Society sponsored this event amongst others and future joint events are anticipated.
