A small Group of people, some Austrian and some English meet every 2nd Wednesday from 12.30-14.30 in the bar at the above. We have regular discussions about various topics and find it very relaxing and interesting. One can have a meal, a snack or just a coffee and the time just flies and I am always looking forward to the next meeting. It would be nice if you would come and join us.

I am a member of the Anglo Austrian Society since the 50th. 

Until 3 – 4 years ago I almost never saw, met or got to know a fellow Austrian. 

Then came Felix through my letter box and many nice things were available to us. 

Among many the Berners Hotel in the Westend with Café Wien, the Robert Stolz Concert, where I sat on the table of 2 Friends of Robert Stolz and they made me so welcome that I also became a member, we have two concerts every year at the Methodist Central Hall by Westminster. 

We went and ate goose at the Gloriette in Knightsbridge and Demel came to London. 

The Berners Hotel closed for redecoration and the Gloriette closed down for good.  I thought the good times are over and then we had the STAMMTISCH. 

We have been meeting for the past 3 years at the K & K George 1-15 Templeton Place, Earls Court, London every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 12.30 – 14.30.  We are a small group and it would be nice if we had some new people to join us.  We all get on very well and are a mixture of Austrians and English and many of us keep in touch during the month by phone or email. 

We are always looking forward to meet new people and to hear their interesting life stories. 

Since I started to go to the Stammtisch I also started to attend the AGMs regularly and many of the offers which are advertised in the Felix. 

I hope to be able to greet you at the K & K George.

Ich bin ein Mitglied von der Anglo Austrian Society seit den Fuenfziger Jahren.

Bis vor 3-4 Jahren, habe ich fast nie einen anderen Oesterreicher gesehen, getroffen oder kennen gelernt.

Dann kam der Neue Felix ins Haus, und viele Nette Sachen wurden fuer uns veranstalted.  Unter anderen im Berners Hotel Café Wien, das Robert Stolz Konzert, wo ich 2 Mitglieder von den Freunden von Robert Stolz kennen lernte und wurde auch ein Freund und wir haben 2 Mal im Jahr ein wunderschoenes Konzert in der Methodist Central Hall bei Westminster.
Wir gingen zur Gloriette Gansel essen, zum Demel und vielen anderen

Das Berners Hotel machte auf 2 Jahre zu und die Gloriette hat auch fuer immer die Tuer geschlossen und als ich dachte Augustin, Augustin alles ist hin da kam der STAMMTISCH,

Wir treffen uns seit ungefaehr 3 Jahren im Hotel K&K George in Earls Court, wir sind eine Kleine Gruppe und es waehre schoen wenn wir ein Paar Neue Leute bekommen koennten.  Ich muss sagen wir verstehen uns alle sehr gut  und treffen uns am 2. Mittwoch. des Monats von 12.30- 14.30 und freuen uns immer wenn wir Neue Leute sehen, und die Interessanten Geschichten von deren Leben hoeren.  Viele von uns sind auch oefters bei Telefon oder Mail in verbindung und wir fuehlen das wir seht gut mit einander auskommen.

Seit ich zum Stammtisch gehe, bin ich auch wenn immer moeglich beim AGM  sowie bei einigen Veranstaltungen die im  Felix angeboten werden.
